In 1990 a partnership is formed between DSM and the US group Rubbermaid Inc. Eight years later Rubbermaid buys out Curver in its entirety and it continues to expand.

DSM becomes the sole owner of Curver and once and for all makes it a brand specialising in the household plastics market.

1960’S

Plastic products undergo a period of significant growth, becoming the answer to the developing mass market at this time. So Curver, partly owned by the DSM Group, decides to specialise in this field.
With the construction of a new production plant in the Netherlands, its operations are rapidly expanding from the production of plastic food boxes to the development of various storage solutions (waste bins, laundry baskets) and other packaging materials for industrial applications.

1949

The story of Curver begins more than 65 years ago when Peter CURtius and Ad VERschuren found a glass packaging production company in the Netherlands in May 1949.
This family business is given the name CURVER, which is a shortened version of the names of its two founders.
